Project Overview
Corrib Oil partnered with Gibb Technology to modernise three meeting rooms at its Galway head office — one large boardroom and two medium-sized rooms — as part of a 2025 renovation.
Challenge
The company’s outdated projector-based systems suffered from poor image quality, limited connectivity, frequent maintenance issues, and lacked compatibility with modern collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams.
ObjectiveS
Provide an easy-to-use video conferencing solution, easy to manage to increase the usage of the main Boardroom and 2x medium meeting rooms.
The rooms should have Native Microsoft Teams and have BYOD for the times when a client sends a meeting invitation on a different platform to Microsoft Teams. This ensures a clients meeting can always be conducted from the meeting room.
Provide content sharing in all rooms which is easy to use.
Provide the correct size of displays ensuring the content is visible when sharing different types of content to the displays.
Ensure the cameras used in all rooms can automatically fame and zoom into the participants when talking, making the room as easy to use as possible for the room’s users.
The microphone pickup should cover the whole space within each of the 3 rooms.
Provide a room booking solution enabling room booking from Microsoft Teams and Outlook with outside of room scheduling panels.

Solution
The displays automatically switch on when a person enters the room, switching off after 30 minutes when the room doesn’t have people in it.
The Neat Bar Generation 2 with Neat Pad was installed into the two medium meeting rooms. The Neat Bar 2 features the newer P2 processor providing advanced features and faster camera zooming & framing. The Neat Bar 2 camera uses AI to pick up on non-verbal communication.
BYOD is available in all meeting rooms. In the Medium meeting rooms, BYOD is available via plugging in the USB-C cable at the table.
Dual 65” Hisense DM displays, the Hisense DM displays have 25% haze reducing the effect sunlight has on the displays. These displays have provided a significant improvement on viewing experience within the Corrib Oil meeting rooms. Especially in the larger meeting space where Dual Hisense 86” DM displays were installed with a 55” display on an angled trolley between the boardroom table.
In the larger Boardroom the Neat Bar Pro with Pad was installed adding the Neat Center to provide the required meeting room microphone pickup and camera pickup. The Neat Center automatically switches with the Neat Bar Pro depending on who is speaking within the room, providing the far end participants with an excellent remote video viewing experience.
The Neat Pad’s were installed within all three meeting rooms providing a Native Microsoft Teams Experience. The Neat Pad has an 8” touch panel, providing the ability to quickly and easily join a scheduled call. Invite participants to a call, launch a new call with control for the rooms camera and speaker level.
Neat schedulers were placed outside the meeting rooms, enabling room booking. The Neat schedulers link into the rooms Neat Pad and Neat Bars, showing the name of the meeting on the display and the time it begins. Lights on the Neat schedulers show when a room is available or in use, with green or red lights.
